GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Snalth (DN14 6) area. As an SEN TA, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. Assist teachers in creating a supportive and accessible learning environment. Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and follow behaviour management strategies. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support. Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and pupil welfare. Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties, is highly desirable. Excellent communication, patience, and organisational skills. Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of pupils. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
