This post is 8 PAs (30 hours) and includes 2.0 SPAs. There will also be a request to join the on‑call forensic consultant rota (circa 1 in 13), paid at an additional 1%. About us
The successful candidate will be supported by consultant forensic colleagues and AMDs across SLAM Forensic Service, which includes 6 other inpatient wards based at the Bethlem Royal Hospital and 3 further community forensic teams. Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act Full Member or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification CCT in Forensic Psychiatry Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training Ability to work in and lead team Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty Participation in Medical Audit and Quality Assurance Publications accepted by peer review journals in the field of forensic or rehabilitation psychiatry Training in violence risk assessment Formal training in effective psychological therapies Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management Experience in other relevant specialties such as learning disability or addictions Disclosure and Barring Service Check
