Research Technician – Vacancy Reference 182353 – Salary UofG Grade 5, £27,319 – £31,236 per annum.
We have an opportunity for a Research Technician to provide technical expertise and support to enable delivery of key experiments with the McSorley group as part of a project looking how we might use immune infiltrates in pre‑cancerous colonic adenomas to better identify future cancer risk and prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
* Conduct wet lab protocols, in particular IHC and mIF on FFPE patient adenoma tissue.
* Conduct bioinformatic analysis of mIF and spatial transcriptomic data to help in identifying unique immune signatures of future neoplasia risk from these pre‑cancer lesions.
* Contribute to the day‑to‑day running of the lab (managing reagent orders, maintaining a tidy working environment, etc.).
