Job title - Bakery Operative
Reports to - Bakery Team Leader
Salary - £33,734 per annum

Job purpose
Preparation and production of bakery products under guidance from the Bakery Team Leader/Production Manager/Site Operations Manager, Food Safety and Health and Safety Standards.
Workload will include mixing, depositing, baking and other bakery duties such as cleaning the equipment.
Work will be carried out in the bakery with a team of other bakery operatives.
Duties and responsibilities
Measuring and combining ingredients using scales, mixers and ovens and other equipment to make baked goods such as sponges.
Checking ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and highest quality standards.
Completing relevant production records as required.
Loading and unloading products by maintaining cleanliness and tidiness.
Following instructions issued by Bakery Supervisor / Bakery Team Leader.
Ensuring compliance with all Food Safety and Health and Safety standards of the company.
Any other duties, commensurate with the post.
Qualifications and skills
Basic English and Maths are required.
Ability to read and follow recipes.
Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills.
Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections of ingredients and products.
Good organizational skills.
Working conditions
Full- time position, working Sunday to Thursday.
Physical requirement
Relevant personal protective equipment (PPE) is fully provided
