Generative artificial intelligence (AI) describes algorithms that can be used to produce new content, including audio, code, images, text, simulations, and videos. It is developing all the time and is now being used as a support mechanism for all kinds of content-based creations. Please note the use of AI is monitored and if applicants have used it then they are required to declare this.
Initially the General Duties ATO is responsible for assisting the dispensing services to inpatients & outpatients through the following responsibilities. Ensuring the dispensary is kept tidy and has all the items available that are used in supplying medicines to patients - these including making sure that the dispensary has sufficient stocks of bottles, tops, boxes, bags, labels etc.
The ATO also supports areas of stock keeping & management of pharmaceuticals including stock check, goods receipt and stock preparation. For this purpose the ATO will be fully trained to use the robot.
The ATO will regularly support the dispensary service in providing a friendly, professional and informative front line service to all internal dispensary customers. Support will also be given by the ATO in answering the telephone and dealing with tracking and simple internal and external enquiries
Later training under supervision to be a Dispensing ATO, assisting in the dispensing process of patient level medicines in the dispensary & ensure they are safely issued to patients.
1. To check all orders into the dispensary following standard operating procedures, receive these onto the JAC pharmacy system and via input of invoice into the dispensing robot to store correctly.
2. Responsible for accurately replenishing used stock into the robot every morning & and ensuring that no stock is left overnight.
3. To monitor dispensary and weekly robot expiry dates and ensure effective stock rotation making sure that short-dated items are easily identifiable or booked to disposal.
4. To complete a daily 15 item stock check from the pharmacy JAC system. Complete the paperwork accurately and bring to the attention of the senior technician stock discrepancies as per procedure.
5. To be trained as a super user for the pharmacy automated dispensing system (robot) and train others as necessary & perform the weekly shutdown/restart.
6. After robot training, complete the morning clearance of errors and the emergency out of hours chute. Check the daily internal temperature & record.
7. To effectively use the pharmacy tracking system to deal with enquiries from wards and departments at reception and on the phone.
8. Issue ward stock from requisitions, and provide a top up service as required.
