Job Description:
We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager in our Advanced Targeting Business.
Your Impact:
Based on site in Edinburgh, you will be part of the team developing and delivering within the Advanced Targeting Sector, to ambitious timescales to support the end-user’s requirements. The established Integrated Project Team (IPT) comprises a multi-site cross-functional of engineers, production and other professionals from across the business.
This role will be focus on the managing the work involved in the material acquisition and assembly activities; this involves working closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Production functions to ensure timely internal delivery of material to the Testing and Certification team.
This exciting role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of delivering a much anticipated capability to the end user. As the Senior Project Manager, you will:
1. Report to the Lead Project Manager for the project.
2. Lead the IPT to ensure all material and resources are available to support assembly activities.
3. Manage the progress through assembly and testing activities leading to a timely equipment delivery.
4. Along with the Procurement function, pro-actively manage the engagement with suppliers to re-risk material deliveries.
5. Work with the rest of the IPT to ensure an integrated approach to the material deliveries.
6. Provide updates on key reporting metrics for internal governance.
7. Based onsite 3-4 days per week.
8. You will typically be degree qualified in a business or engineering related discipline or an equivalent suitable level of work experience.
9. You will have Project Management experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
10. You will be enthusiastic and well organised.
11. You will have the ability to embrace and work to tight timescales/deadlines.
12. You will be a team player and have the natural ability to support others and seek support.
13. You will possess effective and flexible communication, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
14. Strong stakeholder management.
15. A pro-active approach with a "can do" attitude, striving for continuous improvement, effectiveness and efficiency.
And it would be highly beneficial if you have:
16. A working knowledge of SAP.
17. APM / PMP qualification (or working towards a qualification).
