Trainee / Paralegal Route to Solicitor Qualification

TSR Legal are pleased to be working with a well-established and respected law firm based in the heart of Aberystwyth, with a long-standing reputation for providing trusted legal services to individuals and businesses across Ceredigion and beyond. As the firm continues to grow, they are now looking to recruit a motivated Paralegal or Trainee with a long-term view of qualifying as a Solicitor.

The Role:
You will be working alongside experienced solicitors across a range of legal disciplines, gaining valuable hands-on experience while supporting the wider team. The role will involve client contact, legal research, drafting documentation, and assisting with ongoing casework.
Over time, and subject to performance, this role is intended to progress into a recognised training pathway, whether via the traditional training contract route or SQE qualification route.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting solicitors with a range of legal matters, including administrative and procedural tasks
Drafting legal documents, letters, and emails
Conducting legal research and summarising findings
Liaising with clients, courts, and other professionals
Preparing files for court hearings and meetings
Maintaining accurate file records and case management
Proactively developing legal knowledge and contributing to the team
About You:
A degree in Law (or equivalent), or currently undertaking legal studies
A genuine interest in pursuing a career as a solicitor
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Proactive, reliable, and keen to learn
A team player with a professional and client-focused attitude
Ideally, some prior legal or administrative experience (though not essential)
