Compass Associates are currently working in close partnership with a highly reputable retirement living organisation, who are opening a further development in Shropshire later in 2026. This will be another community to add to their already strong portfolio, where older adults are free to live on their own terms; supported by kindness, surrounded by opportunity and able to enjoy a richer, more connected later life.
They are currently seeking a Sales Counsellor to join the team who will play a vital role in this mission by building long-lasting meaningful relationships with individuals across the community whilst nurturing a strong pipeline of individuals for the soon to be opened retirement village. Our client are not necessarily looking for someone with a sales background, but a candidate who thrives on strong relationship building and a unique prospect centred selling approach.
Responsibilities:
* Build trusted relationships with prospective residents and their families
* Maintain, grow and nurture a high-quality lead pipeline using our CRM
* Deliver empathetic, “prospect-centred selling” that focuses on individual goals, fears and motivations
* Conduct home visits where appropriate to better understand needs and living situations
* Create advocates by delivering warm, meaningful experiences from first contact to move-in
* Represent the business within the community with authenticity and confidence
* Develop relationships with local estate agents, financial advisers, social groups and influencers
* Support events, talks, open days and presentations
* Guide prospects through the journey from initial enquiry to reservation and move-in
* Conduct tours of the retirement village, showing how our community may enhance quality of life
* Communicate clear, transparent information about rental and sale options
* Work to agreed targets while maintaining warmth, integrity and ethical practice at all times
Requirements:
* Natural warmth, emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport quickly
* High integrity, strong ethical judgement and a calm, reassuring demeanour
* Genuine enjoyment of working with older adults and families
* Strong communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal
* Resilience, curiosity and creativity in how you support people through change
* Comfortable working towards clear goals and targets
* Full UK driving licence.
