Flexibility and Culture

Are you looking for an employer that understands the importance of balancing work and life and offers flexibility by allowing you to work from home? Would you love to work for a company where 95.2% of staff recently stated in an anonymous survey that they would recommend us as an employer? Are you excited by the chance to help stand up a sector‑leading procurement framework under the new Procurement Act?

About CDS

CDS exists to provide, support and promote co‑operative and community‑led housing so that more people can live and work in co‑operative ways. We are the country’s largest provider of governance, financial and housing management support to small housing co‑operatives, we are small social landlord in our right and we are innovating new routes to grow community‑led housing in England.

The opportunity

We’re establishing a major new Procurement Act‑compliant digital Open Framework, appointing Plentific as managing agent. This framework will give social landlords a safe, easy and compliant way to procure contractors for works large and small all digitally enabled. As Procurement Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting up and running this framework and in maturing CDS’s wider procurement approach.

About You

You’re a collaborative procurement professional who brings credibility with colleagues and suppliers alike. You can balance rigour with pragmatism, translate legislation into workable practice and communicate simply. You will have or be working toward a relevant professional qualification (e.g. MCIPS) and have at least three years experience and experience managing procurement within a regulated public sector or housing environment.
