Job DescriptionAn established, award-winning architecture and building consultancy is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join its creative and friendly team based in Shrewsbury. The RoleAs a Senior Technologist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of projects, primarily through production information and site stages. Working under the supervision of a Project Director, you will lead the coordination and delivery of detailed technical information while supporting junior team members.This role would suit a technically confident individual who enjoys responsibility, problem-solving and working onplex projects with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day job running during production and construction stagesProduce high-quality working drawing packages with minimal supervisionCoordinate and manage detailed design informationEnsurepliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirementsAdvise on building regulations, environmental requirements and materialsMaintain strong awareness of current and emerging fire regulationsCarry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)Liaise with consultants, statutory bodies and approval authoritiesDisseminate information clearly to internal team membersPrepare documentation for statutory and local authority submissionsDeliver projects using Revit Level 2 BIM processesProvide COBie data where requiredSource technical information and ensure buildabilityplianceCarry out health and safety risk assessmentsPrepare tender reports, rmendations, measured surveys and QA procedures
About YouYou will be a highly experienced Technologist with a structured and methodical approach, able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider project team.Skills and Experience RequiredRelevant qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or BTEC)Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience as an Architectural TechnicianDemonstrable experience within healthcare, DfE education and/or high-density residential sectorsHighly proficient in Revit, used consistently as a primary delivery toolExpert knowledge of UK construction methods and Building RegulationsStrong understanding of UK construction and building law
