Casual Leisure Attendant (Lifeguard) – Derbyshire County Council
Enthusiastic individuals required to provide day to day supervision in multiple leisure centres across North East Derbyshire. Located in Dronfield, Eckington and Clay Cross, our leisure centres offer facilities including sports halls, swimming pools, health and fitness suites, gyms and squash courts. The successful candidate will supervise swimming pools, changing/locker rooms, sports halls and squash courts.
Responsibilities
* Supervise swimming pools, changing/locker rooms, sports halls and squash courts.
* Assist swimmers in difficulty as needed.
* Set out and store equipment as required.
* Promote the centres' activities and events.
Qualifications
* RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard 10th Edition Award (required).
* Ability to deal with a full age range of customers.
* Good understanding of a wide range of sports and leisure activities.
Other Requirements
* Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
* Experience of working in a team and able to act on own initiative.
* Successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Enhanced Level.
