Nursery Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations
Purpose of the Role
Lead and manage all aspects of the Nursery, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children, staff, and families thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Childcare Practitioners, acting as a positive role model.
* Create an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for every child.
* Ensure full compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted standards.
* Maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Welfare, working with the H&S Representative.
* Manage budgets, staffing levels, and operational needs (catering, cleaning, maintenance).
* Promote and market the nursery to maintain maximum occupancy.
* Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
* Ensure effective tracking systems are in place to monitor children’s progress and development.
* Oversee staff performance through inductions, supervisions, and annual appraisals.
* ️ Conduct meetings, prepare reports, and represent the nursery at Management Board sessions.
* Encourage continuous improvement, innovation, and high-quality early years practice.
* Act as key holder and uphold all organisational policies and confidentiality standards.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
