School Counsellor at Brooke Weston Academy
We are seeking a School Counsellor to join our student wellbeing team, offering confidential, one-to-one support and helping to create a safe, nurturing environment where every student feels heard, valued, and empowered.
About The School Counsellor Role
As a School Counsellor, you will deliver confidential counselling sessions to students facing emotional, social, or educational challenges, foster a culture of care and wellbeing across the Academy, and work closely with safeguarding leads and external professionals to ensure students receive the best possible support.
* Deliver confidential counselling sessions to students facing emotional, social, or educational challenges.
* Foster a culture of care and wellbeing across the Academy.
* Work closely with safeguarding leads and external professionals to ensure students receive the best possible support.
* Maintain secure and professional records in line with BACP ethical guidelines.
* Stay current with developments in counselling and education to continuously improve your practice.
What We’re Looking For
* A qualified counsellor (BACP registered or equivalent) with experience working with young people.
* A warm, empathetic communicator who builds trust easily.
* A proactive team player who collaborates effectively with staff and external agencies.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development.
