About Langdon House Care Home
Langdon House is an exceptional residential care home in Cambridge. We pride ourselves on a family‑feel environment, attractive gardens, and outstanding care for each resident. Located in Chesterton, about three miles from the city centre, we offer 24‑hour care to up to 51 residents.
About The Role
As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key part in care delivery in the home, supporting us to ensure the highest standards of care in all areas. We value "Celebrating Every Individual" and provide substantial learning and development opportunities, including potential progression to CHAPS or nursing positions, fully funded apprenticeships for NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, and other career support options.
Salary
Days – £14.20 per hour. Nights – £15.30 per hour.
Shift Pattern
0‑hour contract, up to 44 hours per week; 12‑hour shifts worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.
Home Location
20 Union Lane, Chesterton, Cambridge, CB4 1QB – 3 miles from the city centre.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction to the care team while on duty.
* Assist, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional outcomes in care.
* Manage supervision, appraisal, and performance management of team members, celebrating every individual and helping them reach their potential.
* Carry out enhanced clinical care duties, including clinical observations of blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, temperature, blood oxygenation level, and monitor urine output.
Training, Skills & Experience Required
* A genuine passion for care and a commitment to putting residents’ needs first.
* Experience in a similar senior care position.
* Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
* Effective communication skills.
* Proven track record in leading, empowering, supporting, and motivating a team.
