Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Floating Assets / Naval Architecture Engineer to join our maritime engineering team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective management of floating assets through their entire lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting operations, overseeing refits and repairs, and contributing to the future design and development of maritime systems in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Roles and Responsibilities
* Lifecycle Support:
Support and manage the through-life support (TLS) of floating assets, ensuring operational readiness and longevity of service platforms.
* Asset Surveying & Refit Oversight:
Participate in and oversee the surveying of floating assets, define scopes of work for refits and repairs, and ensure post-refit acceptance aligns with technical and operational standards.
* Survey Review:
Review and evaluate periodic surveys conducted by the dedicated surveying team to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
* Project Engineering & Management:
Assist in the preparation of design estimates, project schedules, technical tenders, and engineering substantiations. Monitor project costs and timelines to ensure successful delivery against budget, quality, and time constraints.
* Waterfront Asset Development:
Work with MoD stakeholders to define and develop future waterfront assets, translating operational requirements into technical specifications and design deliverables that meet strategic capability needs.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree qualified in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (desirable).
* Significant experience in naval or commercial floating asset support, ideally including survey, refit, repair, and acceptance processes.
* Strong understanding of through-life asset management, marine systems, and MOD maritime operations.
* Experience in writing specifications, estimates, and technical documentation.
* Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects within cost and time constraints.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including with government or defence customers.
