Our client, an established consulting and engineering services group, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Environment Consultant to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage or lead the delivery of environmental workstreams.
* Provide environmental input into design development independently and within project teams.
* Project manage and author environmental assessments, coordinating with subject matter experts for specialist input.
* Offer technical solutions to clients on infrastructure or construction projects.
* Lead coordination and provide direction on environmental matters.
* Support the business development, including preparation of fee proposals and bid documents.
* Ensure environmental compliance per client standards, requirements, and policies.
* Interface with clients for environmental coordination, resolving queries and issues.
Job Requirements
* Degree in any environmental discipline.
* Experience within environment design teams, ideally delivering infrastructure or construction projects.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write technical reports.
* Preference for experience in major infrastructure, water or construction projects.
* Knowledge of EU and UK environmental legislation and current best practices.
* Proofing, editing, and report collation experience.
* Decision-making abilities based on logical and reasoned judgment.
* Problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving complex issues.
* Experience with DCO's, consents, and permits is desirable.
