I’m reaching out about a fantastic opportunity for an Electrically Biased Shift Engineer to join one of Europe’s fastest-growing digital infrastructure providers, currently expanding their Birmingham operations.
This role is perfect for someone with experience in critical environments (hospitals, airports, or utilities) who enjoys hands‑on engineering and wants to build a long‑term career in digital infrastructure.
What’s in it for you:
 * Competitive salary with overtime – up to £50,000 basic
 * Career development through industry‑recognised certifications (HVAP, CNet, INOS)
 * Structured training and quarterly progression reviews
 * Work with cutting‑edge electrical systems (UPS, switchgear, LV/MV distribution)
 * Excellent pension, health, and annual leave package
The role:
You’ll be part of a small, skilled team responsible for the operation, maintenance, and uptime of critical data centre systems. From fault response to preventative maintenance, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the site runs efficiently and safely.
What we’re looking for:
 * Electrical bias with City & Guilds and 18th Edition qualifications
 * Experience in a critical or facilities environment (preferred but not essential)
 * Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work independently
 * Mechanical or BMS knowledge would be a bonus
If you’re looking to step up your engineering career, gain specialist training, and work in one of the most stable, future‑proof industries, I’d love to have a chat.
