HLTA / Behaviour Mentor (or equivalent)
Location: Wolverhampton (based in a gym environment)
Age group: 11–16 (pre-exclusion students)
We are seeking a qualified HLTA to support an alternative provision that helps young people overcome barriers, re-engage with learning, and build the skills needed for a successful future.
This role is unique — the provision is based in a gym setting, so experience in sport, coaching, or personal training is highly relevant. It’s a chance to combine education with physical activity, mentoring, and behaviour support in a setting where students feel more engaged.
We’re looking for:
*
A qualified HLTA (though if you have strong relevant experience in sport, youth work, or alternative education, please still get in touch).
*
Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to form strong, positive relationships.
*
Resilience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting young people who need a different approach.
What you’ll be doing:
*
Delivering academic support, targeted interventions, and mentoring
*
Helping students reflect on behaviours and develop positive strategies
*
Using a sport-based environment to motivate and inspire learners
What we offer:
*
A values-driven setting where every day makes a difference
*
Training and CPD to support your professional growth
*
Competitive pay, dependent on experience and qualifications
If you’re ready to use your skills to motivate, challenge and inspire young people, we’d love to hear from you.
