Conveyancer (Full-time or Part-Time)
Location: Bargoed (Hybrid working considered)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: 37.5hrs per week – flexible working options available
We are a well-established, family-run solicitors' practice in Bargoed, offering a warm, supportive working environment. We are now seeking a Conveyancer to join our close-knit team on a full-time or part-time basis, supporting our fee earners with a busy residential conveyancing caseload. This role offers a blend of independence, teamwork, and the opportunity to work partially from home.
About the Role:
This is a varied and rewarding position, suitable for someone who is experienced in conveyancing—whether as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX member, or an unqualified but experienced assistant. You will manage elements of your own caseload while also supporting other fee earners with administrative, clerical, and client-facing duties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the full range of residential conveyancing work
* Managing elements of your own caseload (appropriate to your experience level)
* Drafting legal documents and correspondence
* Organising and maintaining case files and client records
* Conducting property searches and dealing with post-completion formalities (Land Registry, SDLT, etc.)
* Liaising professionally with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
* Managing incoming calls and emails with warmth, efficiency, and discretion
* Supporting executive administration, filing, and use of case management systems
What We’re Looking For:
* Prior experience in a conveyancing or legal support role (essential)
* Good phone manner and communication skills
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Confidence working independently and as part of a small team
* A friendly, professional attitude that reflects our client-centred values
* Legal qualifications (Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEX) welcome but not required
