Job Details
* Location: Huyton WIC, Westmorland Ave, Knowsley, L32 8RE
* Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours/week (Part-time considered)
* Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 per annum (Band 7)

Role Overview
We seek an experienced Registered General Nurse to undertake a Band 7 Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner role at our Urgent Treatment Centres/Walk-in Centres. The role involves autonomous clinical practice, shift leadership, holistic patient assessments, and managing minor illnesses and injuries. Flexibility across shifts and services is required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and develop high-quality services as an autonomous practitioner within a multidisciplinary team.
2. Perform holistic assessments, interpret results, diagnose, treat, and discharge or refer patients appropriately.
3. Lead shifts and manage service delivery in the absence of senior staff.
4. Support professional development of team members and supervise junior staff.
5. Ensure compliance with trust policies, legal standards, and quality care protocols.
6. Contribute to policy development and service improvement initiatives.
7. Maintain and develop clinical skills, including x-ray, wound management, suturing, and minor injury management.
8. Administer medications and perform diagnostic procedures within scope of practice.
9. Support effective resource management and administrative processes.
Minimum Requirements
* Appropriate UK professional registration.
* Degree-level study evidence.
* V300 non-medical prescribing qualification.
* Extensive clinical experience in urgent care (minimum 3 years).
* Leadership experience and ability to work autonomously.
* Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
