Role: Social Media Content Executive
Location: Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £30,915 and £33,000 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About The Role
We are currently seeking a Social Media Content Executive to join our Marketing and Digital department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Social Media Content Executive, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* Content Strategy & Digital Engagement – Support and implement a structured social media strategy, using data and insights to drive engagement, audience growth and brand visibility.
* Creative Content Production – Lead the creation of high‑quality visual and video content, including photography and short‑form video, aligned with brand guidelines and targeted audiences.
* Social Media Management & Optimisation – Plan, schedule and manage content across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), monitoring performance and optimising campaigns to maximise reach.
* Stakeholder Collaboration & Campaign Delivery – Work closely with marketing, communications and wider teams to develop impactful content, support campaigns and showcase student life and achievements.
* Quality Assurance, Compliance & Community Management – Ensure content accuracy, GDPR and safeguarding compliance, manage online interactions professionally and maintain a positive digital presence.
About You
* Qualifications & Marketing Expertise – Degree‑level education in marketing or a related field, supported by ongoing CPD and significant experience delivering impactful multi‑channel campaigns.
* Campaign Management & Digital Strategy – Proven experience developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns, with strong skills in digital marketing, paid social, email marketing and CRM systems.
* Leadership, Project & Budget Management – Experience leading projects, managing budgets and supporting or supervising staff to deliver high‑quality outcomes on time and to standard.
* Communication, Creativity & Stakeholder Engagement – Excellent communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, manage relationships and produce compelling content across platforms.
* Organisation, Professionalism & Flexibility – Highly organised and detail‑focused, able to work to deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, travel across sites and uphold College values and professional standards.
