In support of the Trust's Strategy & Transformation procurement programme, a vacancy has arisen within the Commercial Services department for an Assistant Category Manager.

If you are compassionate, commercially astute with a can-do attitude and can demonstrate relevant procurement experience, then this is an exciting opportunity. You will need to be a dynamic individual with the ability to build strong relationships and support the aims and vision of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Senior Category Manager in establishing and managing effective contractual agreements compliant with EU/UK public procurement and Trust regulations.
* Promote stakeholder relationships, lead change, and influence strategic sourcing, supplier development, and management to align with Trust strategy and cost improvement goals.
* Collaborate with Category Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions supporting care pathways.
* Mentor and develop team members, manage business review programs with vendors, ensure contract compliance, and provide specialist advice to internal customers.
