About the Role
Our Client is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their accounts department. You will be preparing and running BACS payments, reconciling supplier statements and other daily duties in the accounts team.
Key Responsibilities
* Check, code, process, scan and distribute supplier invoices
* Deal with any queries relating to invoices
* Reconcile duty invoices
* Reconcile supplier statements
* Prepare weekly payment runs
* Prepare and make payments using Barclays.net
* Interact with suppliers/bank using phone/email
* Allocate currency invoices to forward contracts
* Ad hoc cover for other team members
Functional and/or Technical Skills
* Microsoft Excel skills essential. (Intermediate)
* Microsoft Word skills essential. (Intermediate)
* Good communication skills on and offline
* Good team player
* Attention to detail
* Ability to meet deadlines
