We are seeking dedicated Complex Care Support Workers to join our Residential team in one of our 2 residential services in Louth. One service has 6 people supported and another has TBC.
Responsibilities
* You will provide essential care to individuals with sensory loss and learning disabilities who display challenging behaviours.
* This role requires someone who is confident in their abilities, as it involves substantial lone working and supporting non-verbal individuals in their homes and out in the community.
* The role is to support individuals with complex learning disabilities in their home environment to live a fulfilled life and have access to meaningful activities.
* Typical duties may include everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning; personal care and hygiene; finances; medication and wellbeing; going into the community for shopping or other trips; their social life and nightlife.
* The role might include regular sleep-in shifts paid at £50 a night (sleeping over at the residence, with the possibility you might have to wake up to provide care in the night).
Requirements & Work Pattern
* This is a Permanent role, with contracts available for 7 - 35.5 hours per week.
* You must be able to work a shift pattern, with shifts starting at 7am (early) and finishing at 10pm (late) and be able to work every other weekend.
* A full manual UK licence is desirable as we have company vehicles used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home and trips.
* If you live outside of Louth to be considered for the role you will need use of your own vehicle to get to and from the service for early/late shifts due to very limited public transport.
