About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated, organised and compassionate professional to join our team as a Safeguarding and Attendance Officer and Personal Assistant to the Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead (SDSL). This key role supports our commitment to ensuring the safety, wellbeing and engagement of all students.
Key Responsibilities
Safeguarding Support
* Assist the SDSL in managing and maintaining safeguarding records in line with statutory guidance.
* Support the coordination of safeguarding referrals and communication with external agencies where appropriate.
* Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date safeguarding documentation and systems.
* Support safeguarding meetings and case management processes.
Attendance
* Monitor and analyse student attendance and punctuality data.
* Work with pastoral staff to identify and support students with attendance concerns.
* Communicate with parents/carers regarding attendance issues and support plans.
* Coordinate interventions and track improvements in attendance.
PA Support to the SDSL
* Provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the SDSL.
* Manage diaries, meetings, documentation and correspondence.
* Prepare reports, meeting notes and safeguarding documentation.
* Ensure effective communication between the safeguarding team and other stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience working within a school, safeguarding, pastoral or child welfare setting.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Knowledge or experience of safeguarding procedures within education (training can be provided).
* The ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence working with data systems and Microsoft Office applications.
