Job Opportunity at Robinsons Brewery: Electrically Biased Shift Technician (Multi-Skilled) – Engineering
* Unicorn Packaging Centre (U.P.C.) or Unicorn Brewery, Stockport
* Full Time | Shift-Based | Includes Bank Holidays
* Salary is £44072.46 per annum. Paid monthly.
* The shift pattern is 4 rotating shifts, 05.00-13.00, 06.00-14.00, 14.00-22.00 and 15.00 -23.00. The shifts rotate on a weekly basis.
* Usually no night shift or weekends for normal working, but some overtime would be expected, currently paid at time plus 1/2.

We’re now looking for a passionate and skilled Electrically Biased Shift Technician to join our dynamic Engineering Team and help ensure the smooth running of our production operations.
The Role
As an Electrically Biased Shift Technician, you’ll play a critical part in maintaining, repairing, and continuously improving our production and site service assets. Working as part of a supportive and forward-thinking engineering team, you’ll help keep our brewery and packaging operations running efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Perform proactive and reactive maintenance across production and site services.
* Fault diagnose and resolve issues on automated systems using PLCs and laptop diagnostics.
* Deliver and support continuous improvement initiatives across production lines.
* Coach and support production operators to improve asset performance and reliability.
* Maintain engineering records and ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.
* Participate in shift-based working, covering 5 out of 7 days, including Bank Holidays.
* Support new product development and capital projects.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Electrically qualified with strong mechanical skills – truly multi-skilled.
* Experience in a food/FMCG or similar process industry environment.
* Excellent fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Strong IT skills and ability to interpret technical documentation.
* Experience using lean tools and CI methodologies.
* Ability to work flexibly across sites and shifts.
