About the company:
This Building Services Design consultancy is searching for a Graduate Sustainability Engineer to join their team in Leeds to assist and potentially lead their Building Physics Engineering/Sustainability division. Having over 30 years’ experience of building environments and low energy designs, they offer a range of services including mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy, low carbon consultancy, BIM, and BREEAM.

You will ideally have a buildings specific, sustainability degree with a good understanding of Building Physics Engineering, either learnt through work experience, placements or through your qualification. Being able to use or familiar with either IES or TAS would be highly advantageous!

Working across many sectors like retail, leisure and industrial, this consultancy has several repeating clients which in turn offers the successful Sustainability Engineer the chance to progress in their career quite quickly towards a more senior role.

The team is made up of around 25 experienced engineers, designers and consultants collaborating to create energy-efficient systems in all their projects from inception to completion. Their main priority is to always provide a high standard level of service to their clients which is what has gained them a reliable reputation in building services, thus resulting in long-term strong relationships with their customers. Using industry-leading technology such as AutoCAD, IES and Revit MEP, they tailor systems to fit with their clients’ needs and wants.

Offering services on dynamic thermal modelling, low and zero carbon energy, and daylight calculations, sustainability is at the heart of their projects. In this role, you will be supporting a Senior Engineer within a fast-paced environment, working on projects across the country.

What they are looking for in a successful Sustainability Engineer: -

Experience or a passion for Sustainable Buildings.
Ideally a Building Services Design, Architectural Engineering or Buildings Sustainability specific degree.
2:1 Bachelor’s level degree or above.
Familiar with software packages such as Revit or IES gained through experience or through your degree.
The ability to mix well within a fast-paced environment.
