Specification Technologist Location: North Somerset Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive (details available on application) Reed Food & FMCG partner with a leading food manufacturing company specialising in flavourings and seasonings, dedicated to producing high-quality products for the UK and European markets. My client is looking for a Specification Technologist to join their team, previous specification experience in the Food Industry is desirable but not essential. Day-to-day of the role: Manage the site specifications system, including its continuous development, maintenance, and improvement. Handle the entire process from raw material and supplier assessment through to finished products and customer enquiries, ensuring legal and customer technical compliance. Maintain company and customer specifications and other associated technical documentation to ensure compliance. Manage data input on customer web portals and ensure the accuracy of recipes and raw materials in line with agreed specifications. Conduct food safety assessments of raw materials and food products to ensure they are safe and legally compliant. Perform supplier and raw material integrity assessments and support ethical and sustainability assessments of the supply chain. Maintain accurate data within the company database and manage time effectively to coordinate and prioritise personal workload. Assist with raw material and supplier approval as required and support internal and customer audits in a timely manner.
