Are you an experienced Residential Manager looking for a new opportunity in Birmingham? Winner Education are working closely with a child's residential and education provider in seeking an experience Residential Manager in Great Barr. The role is full time and will be required to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all operational services within the specified area in accordance with legislative and policy requirements. This will also require a joint management approach and collective work strategy involving the Deputy Manager, Education Support, Shift Leaders and Residential Support Workers. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with the Director of Services and contribute to the planning, delivering and review of services Monitor and maintain standards against agreed criteria and objectives, and to implement quality assurance systems, which reflect agreed good practice, company policies, procedures, and legislation Ensure that practice responds to and is pro-active to the changes in the Residential Child Care, Social Work and Educational climate and meets any requirements in legislations Provide Residential Care to a high standard, this meets best practice and exceeds it whenever possible Coordinate and chair monthly staff meetings, as well as weekly management team meetings Contribute to the provision of a programme of training and development to meet the needs of the staff team Design, develop and evaluate individual placement plans to ensure that these are revised as necessary through progress reviews and action planning Be on-call as per Rota on a shared basis throughout the year Participate in the selection and appointment of staff as appropriate Oversee and contribute to the induction training for new staff, following a specific programme of induction The successful Residential Manager will: Need to be highly organised Have previous experience in child residential homes Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding Have excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrate resilience and positive mind-set Have previous management or senior level responsibility Be able to form positive relationships with all staff If you are interested in our Residential Manager role in Great Barr, Birmingham or would like more information on how Winner Education can support your journey, please contact Dan on 0121 353 1661.
