Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Secondary Age) Location: Carlisle, Cumbria Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a secondary-aged pupil at a specialist education setting in Carlisle, Cumbria. This role is ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting pupils with complex needs. You will be providing tailored, consistent support to help the pupil engage with learning, regulate behaviour, and achieve their individual outcomes. The Role: Providing 1:1 support to a secondary-aged pupil Supporting learning, emotional regulation, and behaviour in line with the pupil’s EHCP Implementing behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals Promoting a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment Please note: Full details of the pupil’s EHCP will be shared upon shortlisting.
