Role Overview:
As a Research Analyst, you will be the engine room of strategic insight. Every day, you’ll delve into a variety of sources—industry reports, proprietary databases and online platforms—to extract, verify and synthesise information that shapes board-level decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct rigorous research across multiple channels, employing advanced search techniques to gather data on market dynamics, competitors and emerging talent pools. You will ensure that each fact is corroborated and every source is transparent.
* Utilise sophisticated IT tools—from Excel (pivot tables, macros and advanced formulas) to specialised research platforms—to organise large data sets, perform quantitative analysis and create visualisations that bring insights to life.
* Collaborate closely with consultants and recruitment specialists to define search criteria, refine personas and align research outputs with strategic project goals. Your work will serve as the foundation for talent acquisition and strategic recommendations.
* Maintain and enrich proprietary databases and CRM systems, tagging and categorising new information to guarantee rapid retrieval and continuous data integrity throughout ongoing projects.
* Proactively identify process improvements, recommend new methodologies or tools, and help embed best practices in data collection, analysis and presentation.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
* An unerring eye for detail, ensuring every datum is accurate, every reference is clear and no assumption goes unchallenged.
* Exceptional IT proficiency, including advanced Excel skills, comfort with research databases and familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Bullhorn.
* A curious, analytical mindset that thrives on digging beneath the surface and asking “what else might this data reveal?”
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to craft concise reports and present complex material with clarity and confidence.
* The capacity to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines, organising your workload to deliver high-quality insights on time.
