Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary SEN school in Southampton. About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students aged 11–16 who have a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD). Your role will involve: Providing one-to-one and small group support to students in and out of the classroom. Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and differentiated activities. Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Helping students to build confidence, communication, and life skills. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children or young people (school, care, or youth setting). A patient, empathetic and resilient approach to supporting learning. A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to education. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
