Group Employment Tax Manager
Join a market‑leading organisation as a Lead Employment Tax Specialist, taking ownership of all employment tax matters across a complex group structure. You’ll work closely with HR, Payroll, Reward, Global Mobility and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance, embed best‑practice processes and provide expert, commercial advice. With hands‑on responsibility for the UK and oversight of international operations, this role plays a central part in shaping policy, supporting major initiatives and managing HMRC interactions across a broad and impactful remit.
About the Role
You will oversee employment tax compliance and manage employment tax risk and controls across the group, acting as a trusted subject‑matter expert and key business partner.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead key compliance processes, including UK & Ireland PAYE Settlement Agreements (PSAs) and oversight of CIS / RCT obligations
* Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Reward, Payroll and Finance on the employment tax implications of business decisions, projects and policy changes
* Provide specialist support on share schemes, global mobility and reward initiatives
* Lead relationships with tax authorities, managing employment tax queries, enquiries and audits
* Monitor legislative developments and advise the business on the impact of employment tax changes
Qualifications
* In‑depth experience in employment taxes
* ACA or ATT qualified (preferred)
Required Skills
* Ability to work effectively across teams and with multiple stakeholders
* Strong influencing and communication skills
* Proven experience managing relationships with external tax authorities
* Technically current, with strong awareness of industry and legislative developments
