Role Overview
The TechMate is a field‑based technical ambassador responsible for promoting AAG private label brands through expert product knowledge, practical training, and best‑practice guidance. This role strengthens market confidence in private label programmes by combining hands‑on technical support with proactive commercial engagement. Acting as the technical face of the brand, the TechMate delivers product training and technical presentations to colleges, factors, garages, and internal sales teams. Through field workouts, troubleshooting visits, and live demonstrations, the role supports pull‑through sales while reinforcing product quality, sourcing integrity, and application best practice. Beyond training delivery, the TechMate provides frontline technical support—responding to customer enquiries, resolving product‑related issues, and assisting with installation guidance. The role plays a key part in shaping continuous improvement by feeding structured market intelligence back to product management, pricing, and marketing teams.
The position requires strong technical credibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. By maintaining up‑to‑date product expertise and promoting a consistently positive image of AAG private label brands, the TechMate helps drive brand loyalty, technical confidence, and sustainable commercial growth.
