We are seeking a hands-on Site Engineer experienced in overseeing civil engineering activities on complex highway and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will support site management teams in delivering large-scale works such as deep piling, foundations, steel beam installation, and concrete decking. This role is perfect for an engineer who thrives on coordinating technical operations, ensuring structural integrity, and maintaining seamless progress through critical phases of delivery. Key Responsibilities ·Set out and verify site works including deep piled foundations and pile caps. ·Monitor and coordinate works related to steel beam placement using heavy cranes, ensuring safe operation and quality control. ·Oversee concrete deck casting, parapet forming, and associated structural finishing. ·Ensure multi-stage construction sequences are executed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to stakeholders. ·Liaise effectively with supervising engineers, sub-contractors, and site teams to drive progress and solve technical challenges. ·Uphold high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) compliance throughout all site activity. Person Specification / Qualifications ·Education: Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent. ·Demonstrable experience in site engineering roles on projects involving deep foundations, structural framing (e.g., steel beam placement), and concrete deck construction. ·Solid understanding of setting out, surveying, and engineering accuracy requirements. ·Proficient in reading technical drawings (structural, civil, drainage) and applying them on site. ·Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to guide sub-contractors and site staff effectively. ·Competent in ensuring Health & Safety compliance and implementing site HSEQ protocols. ·Available for immediate or short-notice start and able to adapt quickly to project demands.
