Senior FP&A Analyst– Essex – Permanent (37 hours per week) – £50,000 - £65,000 per annum– Willing to undergo SC Clearance
Our client are a global Defence company looking for Financial planning & Analysis to focus on the Financial forecasting, reporting and support process improvement. You will be reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented and proactive Financial professional looking to improve reporting processes and work closely to the other finance teams to offer insights into key decision making.
Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site in Essex
The Key Responsibilities of a Senior FP&A Analyst:
* Lead monthly, current year, Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan reporting cycles.
* Recognised as the organisation's expert in terms of the financial forecast.
* Support Monthly Reporting Requirements:
* Lead regular internal and Parent Company reporting.
* Deliver Month End and Pre-Month end specific reports.
* Manage various quarterly reporting requirements including SJE, Tax Group returns.
* Make recommendations as to how to improve processes.
* Preparation of insightful ad hoc financial analysis to support key decision making.
* Collaborate with peers and senior stakeholders to maximise effectiveness of processes and deliverables.
Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Senior FP&A Analyst, however you will not be expected to have everything:
* Strong communicator with a desire for understanding the business model.
* Ability to convey financial data to the layperson
* Working as part of a team.
* high level of competence on excel modelling and history of demonstrable process improvement
* Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, often with demanding time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
* Experience in defence, aerospace, cyber security or other technical sectors.
* Previous FP&A background.
* Likely Degree educated (ideally with a 2;1) but other qualifications considered with relevant experience.
* Will consider a part-qualified/newly qualified accountant.
* Experience using integrated financial systems such as SAP (Apex/Prism), Cognos & BW.
