Role: Customer Host Supervisor (30 hours contract). Weekend availability may be required.
White Stuff was established in 1985 and operates shops and concessions in the UK and internationally, selling women’s and men’s clothing, accessories and homeware. Primary Objective Of The Job: Our Customer Host Supervisors support the team to deliver an amazing customer experience. You will work with the Shop Manager to uphold excellent shop commercial, visual and operational standards and support the development and training of the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll report to the Shop Manager and sit within our Retail team.
Customer Experience
* Lead by example and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service in line with our A.C.E pillars (Be Friendly, Be Inspiring, Be Invaluable) throughout the Customer Journey.
* Promote and collect customer information in line with data protection regulations, to drive email conversion and sign-ups.
* Introduce customers to, and champion within the team, multichannel shopping through endless aisle orders.
Product Presentation and Visual Standards
* Maintain high in-store visual standards.
* Support with floor moves, mannequin and window displays, and replenishment.
* Understand features of our product ranges (fits, style, fabrics) and promote these within the team.
Commercial Management
* Make commercial decisions and be proactive with stock, promotions, and opportunities to drive sales.
* Coordinate promotions, incentives and key trading weeks including Customer Events, seasonal setup, sale launches and promotions.
* Understand and communicate shop KPIs to the team; lead briefs in management absence to motivate targets.
* Continuously improve team performance.
Team Management
* Organise and support shop operations through staff management processes (e.g., Rotageek).
* Engage with customers using company resources and ensure daily/weekly actions are completed.
* Foster a positive shop environment focused on delivering sales and customer experience results; motivate and recognise the team; champion Brand Values.
* Delegate tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and balance tasking with customer service; identify priorities and plan effectively.
* Train and develop the team; assist with wellbeing initiatives and escalate people queries to relevant management and People teams.
* Cascade People Team communications to the team.
Operational Support
* Process deliveries efficiently; replenish and ensure products are available on the shop floor.
* Assist with stock takes and audits for accurate reconciliation.
* Support day-to-day transactional running, including paperwork, cashing up, and in-store systems knowledge.
* Understand policies and procedures; escalate operational issues and risks as needed.
* Understand Health & Safety and emergency procedures; lead during management absence.
* Support visits from internal stakeholders professionally; manage ship from store and Click & Collect processes.
* Assist with stocktake and audits to ensure accurate reconciliation.

* Be aware of our charity partner and support events or charity promotions; understand ethical sourcing and environmental impact to communicate to customers and the team.
