Remy is building the digital infrastructure for modern food commerce. We help major grocery retailers
improve the end-user experience by providing tools to buy smart, while growing retailer profitability: all
by minimizing food waste. Win-win-win.
What we need
We need someone to own our core stack: managing our AWS and Supabase infrastructure. You need to be comfortable being an IC or part of a small team. You'll build headless, API-first architecture for multi-tenant SaaS and single-tenant clouds for enterprise
clients, powering white-label applications.
This is a founding team role: emphasis on founding. We're looking for someone who wants to grow
with us, not someone who's already done it all. You'll learn as much as you'll build.
Your day-to-day
• Own the infrastructure: Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Supabase. Edge
Functions, RLS policies, Postgres optimization: the full stack
• Build the API ecosystem: Design and maintain APIs, manage versioning, handle authentication,
rate limiting, and third-party integrations
• Build fast with AI: We leverage AI heavily for development (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.). You
should too
• Ship enterprise features: Multi-tenancy, white-label applications, headless architecture,
real-time data pipelines, webhook systems that scale
• Join the leadership team: Shape product, architecture, and technical strategy. This isn't just a
coding role
• Grow into management (if you want to): Whether you want to become a Principal Engineer
driving technical strategy, or an Engineering Manager running standups and building a team: both
paths are open
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
• PostgreSQL expertise: Strong foundation in Postgres: query optimization, indexing, database
design, RLS (Row Level Security)
• Backend & infrastructure: Solid foundation in Node.js, Express/NestJS. Experience managing
cloud infrastructure and deployments
• API design & development: Experience building APIs, handling authentication, versioning, and
integrations
• LLM & agent development: You've built LLM-powered applications or AI agents before
• AI-powered development: You actively use AI coding tools (GitHub repos, projects, demos)
• Startup mindset: You're scrappy, pragmatic, and comfortable with ambiguity. You'd rather ship
and iterate than architect the perfect system
• Proven builder: We care about what you've shipped, not your pedigree
• Fluent English: Written and spoken
Nice-to-have:
• Supabase experience
• AWS experience
• MCP (Model Context Protocol) experience
• Frontend experience (React Native) and a taste for good design
• White-label or headless architecture experience
• Startup experience: doesn't matter if it's your own and you failed
