Finance Manager – Purpose-Driven Charity
Coventry (Hybrid working 1 day from home) | Permanent | Up to £42,000 DOE
Reed Finance is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established, values-led charity in their search for a Finance Manager to join their senior leadership team.

The Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the organisation’s financial strategy and operations. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board of Trustees, you’ll lead the finance function with integrity, insight, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a small, dedicated finance team.
* Ensure full compliance with financial regulations (Charity Commission, HMRC, Companies House).
* Act as Company Secretary, supporting governance and board administration.
* Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Oversee audits, grant reporting, and financial risk management.
* Provide strategic financial insight to support organisational growth.
* Manage payroll, pensions, tax, and insurance contracts.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, or equivalent).
* Experience leading finance in a small to medium-sized organisation.
* Strong understanding of charity finance, including fund accounting and grant reporting.
* Proficiency in Xero and SAGE Payroll is highly desirable
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
* Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector is highly desirable

What’s on Offer
* Salary: up to £42,000 (depending on experience)
* Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, with flexibility)
* Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
* Hybrid working: Based in Coventry, with occasional home working
* Time off in Lieu scheme
