Overview
This role works within the Community Rehabilitation Team in St Andrews to deliver occupational therapy programmes to adults, primarily older people, in the ward setting or in patients’ own homes.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Occupational Therapy Service to deliver therapeutic treatment programmes to service users in ward or home settings.
* Prevent hospital admission and support early discharge from hospital.
* Carry out ongoing treatment programmes for a mixed caseload of mainly older people.
* Work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
* May be required to work at other community hospital sites.
Qualifications
* SVQ Level III in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
* Experience as a physiotherapy or OT support worker desirable.
* Experience working with older people desirable.
* Good organisational and communication skills; able to work independently and within a team.
Other Information
Public holiday working is in operation. The service offers regular supervision, PDP and training opportunities. Travel throughout the area is essential.
