Are you a strategic leader with a passion for aligning business and digital capabilities across complex organisations? We’re seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect – Business Architecture to shape and drive business architecture strategy across a large-scale, multi-domain public sector environment.
This is a hybrid contract role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business operations and technology, and who can confidently engage with senior stakeholders to influence long-term strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the business architecture vision and roadmap.
* Lead architectural engagements across business and operational domains.
* Inspire and manage a team of architects, including contractors and permanent staff.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape strategic direction and investment.
* Identify opportunities for innovation and emerging technology adoption.
* Support investment case development and whole-life costing.
* Ensure architectural outputs align with enterprise principles and deliver measurable value.
* Provide architectural assurance and contribute to procurement and supplier evaluation.
* Mentor and upskill other architects, promoting best practices across the team.
What You’ll Bring
* Extensive experience in enterprise or business architecture at a senior level.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience guiding architecture at a domain level and setting strategic guardrails.
* Proven ability to mentor and develop architectural capability in others.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience working in or with the Civil Service is highly desirable.
* A technical degree or equivalent experience.
