ABOUT THE CHANGE PROJECT
We protect victims by educating perpetrators (people who use abuse) to bring about behaviour change, so that we reduce domestic abuse and the effect it has in the community. Domestic abuse victims/survivors are at the heart of our work.
Our knowledgeable and experienced team provide behavioural change support and training to families and professionals, to help intervene and prevent domestic abuse at the earliest opportunity.
We are currently undergoing a period of change and growth as an organisation, and we want someone who can support this diversification.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of skills and a variety of professional and personal experience to join our Board of Trustees. Empathy towards, and support for our mission and values is a "must". We are looking for applicants who are team players and dedicated to making a difference.
Our trustees are an extremely important part of our governance and play an integral role in the development of The Change Project. In addition to providing oversight, our trustees attend our full team meetings and provide staff training and guidance around their areas of specialism.
Experience within the domestic abuse sector is not essential. We value the knowledge experience brought from other sectors. As a virtual organisation we invite expressions of interest from anywhere location nationwide. Although not essential, we would welcome applicants with the following skills and/or experience:
· Family Law
· Digital marketing
· Finance
· Fundraising/income generation
All Trustees will receive the full training necessary to be successful in the role and are reimbursed for any reasonable expenses, e.g. travel.
Bringing your skills and experience to the Board will help us to continue providing our vital services to help end domestic abuse.
