About the Role
Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking 3 Casual Environmental Service Workers for Golden Age Aged Care Service for our 80 bed Residential Aged Care home based at Southport. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, with a strong focus on cleaning and laundry services.
About You
As an Environmental Service Worker, you’ll play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents by ensuring their surroundings are clean, hygienic and welcoming.
Responsibilities
* Laundry Operations: Managing the full laundry cycle – sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing linen and personal clothing with care and attention to details.
* Facility Cleaning: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, following infection control and hygiene protocols
* Equipment Cleaning: Ensuring all cleaning and laundry equipment is used safely, maintained properly and stored securely
Our ideal candidate has
Essential:
* Proven experience in professional cleaning and laundry duties
* Has a strong knowledge of safe food hygiene practices and kitchen safety
* Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police Check
* Hold valid Australian Work Rights – Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
