Exams Officer
Location: Welwyn Garden CityStart: ASAPContract: Full-time | Temp-to-PermPay (Temp): £150 – £200 per day (dependent on experience)
REED Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Welwyn Garden City area to recruit an experienced and organised Exams Officer to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a full-time temporary position initially running until the end of July, with the intention for the successful candidate to move onto a permanent contract thereafter, subject to performance and school requirements.
The Role:
As Exams Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth delivery of all internal and external examinations. Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the administration of public examinations (GCSEs and other qualifications)
* Liaising with exam boards, senior leaders, and teaching staff
* Organising exam timetables, entries, and seating plans
* Ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations
* Overseeing exam invigilators and exam-day logistics
* Maintaining accurate student and exam records
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working as an Exams Officer (or within school exams administration)
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
* Confident communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
* Knowledge of JCQ regulations is highly desirable
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
