Corporate Accountant
Location: Solihull
We are seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our Corporate Service Centre team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or finalist accountant to gain international exposure and contribute to the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for our global business.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and reporting activities, including:
* Review and coordination of statutory accounts and associated disclosures.
* Delivery of accurate and timely management information and analysis in both local currency and USD to the US parent company.
* Preparation of tax calculations and support for statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
* Preparation and review of monthly analytical reports, including expense analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis, with clear communication of findings to stakeholders.
* Maintenance of PeopleSoft processes, including month-end checks and system compliance.
* Oversight of the fixed asset ledger, depreciation, lease accounting, and associated journals.
* Quarterly preparation of balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations, with detailed variance analysis.
* Collaboration with international finance teams to ensure robust reporting and challenge of results where required.
* Contribution to continuous process improvement initiatives, ensuring best practice across locations.
* Support for internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
* Participation in ad-hoc projects and provision of team support as required.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, professional integrity, and the ability to communicate effectively across functions and geographies. Specifically, we are looking for:
* A newly qualified or finalist accountant.
* Strong technical understanding of accounting concepts, particularly IFRS.
* Proficiency in Excel and Word (experience with PeopleSoft advantageous).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines independently.
* A proactive, motivated approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
* Foreign language skills would be advantageous, but not essential.
