Interim MASH Education Officer
Location: Hybrid - base at Cable Plaza, Brierley Hill
Contract: 3‑month interim initially | Immediate start
Overview:
Join Dudley's Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on a three‑month interim basis and be the education voice at the Front Door. You'll turn school intelligence-attendance, exclusions, EHE/CME/CME indicators and pastoral context-into timely, clear advice for multi‑agency threshold decisions, attend strategy discussions, and help shape robust safety plans so children get the right help first time. Working closely with DSLs, headteachers and partners, you'll strengthen information‑sharing and the link between schools and safeguarding practice, supporting the transition to Multi‑Agency Child Protection Teams (MACPT) under Families First. This is a fast‑paced, high‑impact role for an experienced education safeguarding practitioner who can hit the ground running in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities:
Act as education lead within MASH, contributing to multi‑agency decision‑making
Analyse education data to inform risk assessments
Strengthen links between schools and safeguarding processesAbout you:
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and education practice
Skilled communicator with analytical ability
Degree level or equivalent; DSL training desirableSafeguarding: Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references required.

Pay: £164.00-£214.00 per day
