Senior Beverage Development Technologist
Aston Manor Cider is an agile, fast-growing beverage manufacturer specialising in high quality, value ciders and a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
We work closely with major retailers, B2B customers, and our marketing team to develop exciting, high-quality beverages that consumers love. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate, driven and experienced Senior Beverage Development Technologist to help shape the next generation of our product portfolio.
The Role
This is a broad and dynamic role within a fast-paced development environment. You will lead and manage multiple development projects simultaneously — from concept through to successful launch — working cross-functionally with NPD Project Managers, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and our retail and B2B partners.
You will be equally comfortable organising and delivering customer immersion sessions, working in the development lab, and on the factory floor during scale-up and launch.
Key Responsibilities:
* Development of high-quality new beverage products from concept to launch
* Work closely with Marketing and customers to translate briefs into commercially viable products
* Manage a busy portfolio of cider and beverage projects, prioritising effectively
* Conduct lab-based formulation and creative product development
* Plan and oversee factory trials, scale-ups, and product launches
* Represent the technical function at customer meetings and immersion events
* Ensure all products meet quality, regulatory, and commercial requirements
* Support Beverage Development colleagues
* Drive continuous improvement in formulations, processes, and innovation capability
Candidate profile
We're looking for someone who is:
* Customer-centric — you understand retailer and B2B expectations and thrive in collaborative environments
* Experienced in developing and successfully launching high-quality products
* Confident managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible, self-motivated, and highly organised
* Comfortable moving between lab, customer meetings, and factory environments
* A strong communicator who can influence across departments
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience in Food or Drink NPD (Beverage experience desirable but not essential)
* Demonstrated success in taking products from concept to commercial launch
* Degree/HND in Food Science, Brewing, Chemistry, or related discipline (preferred)
* Strong understanding of factory trials and scale-up processes
