Transport Administrator Job Overview
A well-established, family-owned transport and logistics company based in Portsmouth is currently seeking a Network Coordinator / Transport Administrator to join their growing Pallet Network Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced transport office professional to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment where no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of the pallet network operations, working closely with drivers, depots, and internal teams to maintain service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a central point of contact for customers, depots, and drivers via phone and email
* Efficiently book and manage jobs using bespoke transport software
* Resolve transport-related queries and issues in a timely manner
* Coordinate delivery and collection schedules using routing systems and direct communication with drivers
* Maintain accurate records in compliance with both company procedures and regulatory standards
* Deliver high-quality customer service while supporting overall operational efficiency
Working hours:
1. Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
2. Flexibility required to cover additional shifts during colleague absences:
