Join the Education and SEND Division at Medway Council as an Assessment Officer (EHC Coordinator). You'll play a vital role in coordinating Education, Health, and Care (EHC) assessments and drafting outcome-focused, high-quality EHC Plans that support children and young people across the region.

The salary range for this perm position is £31,283 - £37,181
Main Responsibilities:
Draft and amend Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) in line with statutory frameworks (Children and Families Act, SEND Code of Practice)
Coordinate multi-agency input into EHC assessments
Ensure completion of EHC processes within the 20-week statutory timeframe
Provide technical advice and support to parents and carers throughout the EHCP process
Maintain clear communication and accurate records of case progress and stakeholder interactions
Use the SEN database in line with Council protocols to manage and track cases
Support quality assurance of advice and plans
Liaise with professionals and services to identify needs and ensure child-focused outcomes✅ Requirements:
