Hays Accountancy & Finance are supporting a major Ipswich employer based in central Ipswich who are looking for a temporary credit controller to join the team in managing the credit collections for their group of divisions.
Your new role
In this temporary credit control job, you will support the Financial Controller and the wider finance team with managing the day-to-day sales invoicing and collection of outstanding monies across all areas of the business. This will involve the full sales ledger / credit cycle from setting up new accounts after undertaking a credit check, raising sales invoices and collection of payments, which will require confident and clearmunication in resolving invoice queries, credit notes and posting journals and updating aged debtor reports.
As an experienced credit controller, you will be used to managing multiple accounts, agreeing repayment plans and escalating overdue accounts to the senior finance team to assist in cashflow management.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be immediately available and have proven experience of working across multiple accounts, be highly organised with a good level of Excel in analysing aged debt, have extensive reconciliation skills and be confident in reporting on cashflow forecasting as well as highlighting potential areas ofmercial risk.
What you'll get in return
As this is an ongoing temporary assignment, you will be paid an hourly rate of circa £30,000 - £32,000 paid weekly via Hays as an agency worker. This role is based in central Ipswich and will offer flexible hybrid working.
